2020, the New Balance 327 debuted. From the start it was labeled “the ultimate leisure shoe.” The 327 was inspired by runners from the 1970's New Balance library of shoes. The biggest inspirations on the 327 were the New Balance 320 (1976), New Balance 355 (1977), and New Balance SuperComp (1977).
