The inspiration for this silhouette was drawn from the natural world, where Skepta saw a powerful metaphor for the notion of creative rebirth in the lifecycle of a butterfly.The Nike Air Tailwind line of running shoes was the first to incorporate Nike's air technology in the sole. The Air Max lineage began in 1987, when Nike first showcased visible Air. The heel has an iridescent finish that pays homage to the cover art of Skepta's 2019 album Ignorance Is Bliss.
